Digital Marketing has become an essential skill in a world driven by technology and innovative communication. Note: PEWD program participants should be 18 years or older.

Basic understanding of marketing, business communication, the internet, and social media is recommended to benefit the most from this certificate program.

Mr. Alex Garrido

Josse “Alex” Garrido is the Director of Digital Marketing and Marketing Analytics at The University of Texas - Rio Grande Valley. For over six years, he has successfully led digital marketing campaigns from inception to completion in both higher education and the private sector. He is frequently invited to speak at district and regional conferences where he shares the latest insights in digital marketing technologies and industry best practices. Mr. Garrido also co-teaches the Social Media Management and Digital Marketing certificate programs at UTRGV - Continuing Education.


Mr. Daniel Ramirez

Daniel Ramirez currently serves as the Director of Public Relations and Marketing at South Texas College. He is a data-driven marketing and communications professional with over 17 years of experience in the higher education industry. He has a degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas-Pan American and a Master of Science in Media Management from Arkansas State University.
