UTRGV Community Garden

UTRGV Community Garden promotes improved health in the Rio Grande Valley through positive linkages between the University, its students, and local communities. The mission of the Community Garden is to provide a space that will help increase community awareness about the important role that food plays in our health. It’s an instrument for various University departments that share the goal of engaging students and the community in strategies that will improve public health through healthy eating and physical activity. The Community Garden also promotes university community inclusiveness, with facilities specifically designed to promote access for all students and members of the local community.
