Who We Are Now

Supporting the University’s effort to increase access to higher education, High School to University Programs & Testing Services is designed to encourage public school students to pursue the highest levels of academic achievement in preparation for college and beyond.  Testing Services assists with recruitment and enrollment effort by enhancing the quality and quantity of testing services provided to students and prospective students.  Additionally, the department sponsors Advanced Placement Summer Institute training for AP and Pre-AP teachers in collaboration with the College Board, presents in-service training on current topics for educational professionals, and certifies substitute teachers for a number of area school districts.

As of Monday, August 3, 2020 our Testing Services Department in Edinburg will temporarily be in the Education Complex (EEDUC) Room 2.230 – Full Address: 1000 W. Van Week St. Edinburg, TX 78541

Presently, the UTRGV testing site remains open. However, in response to the growing concern surrounding COVID-19 and out of caution for our students and staff, UTRGV and the UTRGV High School to University Programs and Testing Services has instituted the following guidelines:

  4. Reduction of seats available for each exam
  5. As per UTRGV policies testing candidates must wear facial coverings. They must remain on during the duration of your exam. They may only be removed to verify identity and be inspected.
  6. Examinees will be asked to respond to the following Screening Questions (Anyone answering yes to any of the questions will need to reschedule exam.)
