About Step Up!

Step Up is an award-winning (NASPA Gold) bystander intervention program that teaches students how to intervene in problematic situations including alcohol abuse, hazing, depression, sexual assault, discrimination, anger, eating disorders, academic misconduct, and more. The program helps students intervene in emergency situations, but also builds skills to communicate in difficult situations to help intervene with family or friends in non-emergencies or ongoing circumstances.

Learn More

You can learn more by reviewing some of the materials below and/or by requesting training. Vaqueros Step Up training is meant for small groups (5-25 individuals), who either already know each other or who are building relationships together. The safe environment is needed to help students be comfortable discussing difficult situations and taking risks is considering their comfort level with intervention.
