The UTRGV Graduate Select Scholarship offers graduate students from all disciplines a great opportunity to help fund their studies at UTRGV. The award consists of a one-time, up to $2,000 scholarship for Summer 2024 (including Summer Module I and II).

Graduate students must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 hours per summer term or module. Applicants will be selected based on a competitive assessment of admissions information. They will be reviewed in accordance with the university's mission, identifying those with intellectual, creative, and leadership potential who wish to earn a Master's or Doctoral degree from UTRGV.

Additional Information

We recommend students apply for financial aid at the same time as the UTRGV Graduate Select Scholarship application. The selection process is competitive, and there are still other opportunities to be awarded grants as a graduate student. It's a good idea to have an application on file should funds be available. Once the application is on file, students can also explore our UTRGV General Scholarships. Find scholarship information.

You do not need to apply for a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) to apply or accept the Graduate Select Scholarship.
