Stephanie Salinas is currently serving as the Education Specialist for the Office of Faculty Affairs at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine. She has been working at the university since 2022. Stephanie Started as a Program Coordinator with UTRGV at the Student Health Clinic. During her role as a Program Coordinator, Stephanie developed and supervised the implementation of multiple Health Education programs. Prior to entering the University, Stephanie was a Site Coordinator for the Brownsville Independent School District. Stephanie has over 8 years of experience in Education.
Mrs. Salinas is a proud UTRGV alumni; she holds a bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with a focus in Special Education, Psychology, and Reading. Stephanie also has a master's degree in Special Education and is looking to further her career in the future.
As an Education Specialist for the Office of Faculty Affairs, Stephanie is responsible for providing consultation and support services directly to faculty, administrators, departments, and committees in the areas of teaching faculty skill development, curriculum management, curriculum evaluation, and revision. Stephanie is also responsible for the MedEd Program and collaborates with faculty/subject matter experts and members of the educational team to refine faculty teaching skill workshops and facilitate communication across faculty and within faculty groups. Stephanie's hobbies include engaging in outdoor activities, traveling, and making memories with family.
