Renee Da Silva currently serves as the Program Coordinator for the UTRGV School of Medicine Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program housed within The Office of Faculty Affairs. As the CME Program Coordinator, Renee is responsible for coordinating the various activities of the UTRGV School of Medicine (SOM) CME Program. She assists in the planning, implementing, and evaluating CME activities per the UTRGV School Of Medicine CME mission. Renee also ensures that all CME activities offered by the UTRGV School of Medicine comply with the accreditation standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). Renee holds a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at San Antonio. In 2009 she was awarded the J. William Fulbright Grant for English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) in Spain.
Renee has extensive experience as a Program Coordinator serving the UT System. Before joining UTRGV, she served as the Program Coordinator for The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Science NIH-UTSA RISE & MARC U*STAR Programs, where she developed program activities, coordinated student recruitment, and organized scientific conferences. Additionally, she has experience in international education, having coordinated study abroad programs for the UTSA Carlos Alvarez College of Business.
