Biography

Dr. Maria Villegas joined the UTRGV School of Medicine in May 2020 and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine, educating and training the next generation of leaders in medicine, research, and patient care.

Dr. Villegas received her medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA) in 2007 and completed her dermatology residency at UTHSCSA in 2011. She is a board-certified Dermatologist at UT Health RGV with over a decade of experience providing advanced skin, hair, and nail care to her patients.
