Mr. Jesse Candanoza serves as the Medical Simulation Specialist at the UTRGV Drs. Subram G. & Elizabeth G. Krishnan Simulation Hospital. Mr. Candanoza earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas-Brownsville going on to receive a master’s in education technology from the University of Texas-Brownsville as well. Mr. Candanoza is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where he received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Information Systems from the Community College of the Air Force. For the past 10 years, Mr. Candanoza has served as the Medical Simulation Specialist starting at UTHSC-San Antonio in 2014, and from 2015 to present at UTRGV Drs. Subram G. & Elizabeth G. Krishnan Simulation Hospital. Jesse manages all day-to-day operations of the simulation hospital and is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuity of clinical simulation education within the School of Medicine. This form of education provides health professional students with a state-of-the-art multimedia education learning center, which includes computerbased learning programs, simulation mannequins, and other technology-enhanced learning aids for independent and small-group learning.
