Dr. Henry Reinhart was born and raised in El Paso, TX. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas Tech University and received his medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern. He completed his surgical residency training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where he was awarded the Raleigh Ross Award by the Texas Surgical Society, among other prestigious awards. After his residency, Dr. Reinhart completed an endocrine surgery fellowship at Baylor Scott & White Health.
Dr. Reinhart serves as a board-certified General Surgeon and fellowship-trained Endocrine Surgeon at UT Health RGV. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and specializes in minimally invasive thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and general surgeries. At UT Health RGV, he treats a full range of conditions such as thyroid cancer, thyroid nodules, hyperthyroidism, hyperparathyroidism, and parathyroid cancer.
Dr. Reinhart is also a member of the American College of Surgeons and the founding program director of the General Surgery residency program at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
He joined the UTRGV School of Medicine Faculty in 2017 and currently serves as an Associate Professor of Surgery.
