Biography

Mrs. Gicela Salinas, a graduate of La Joya ISD, is an Instructional Development Designer at the School of Medicine at UTRGV. She has 24 years of experience in K-12 education and holds a Master’s degree in Educational Technology, along with certificates in E-Learning and Technology Leadership. Gicela specializes in planning, designing, developing, and implementing curriculum materials and courseware for both traditional and online courses, ensuring that everything meets federal and state guidelines. She collaborates with faculty to design and develop instructional materials, provides support for creating digital resources, and conducts seminars, workshops, and training on various education and technology topics.
