Dr. Alberto Allegre Alonso earned his medical degree from Tec de Monterrey School of Medicine in Monterrey, Mexico, in 2010. He completed his pediatrics residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in 2015 and pursued a fellowship in developmental and behavioral pediatrics at the University of Arkansas/Arkansas Children’s Hospital, finishing in 2018. His professional interests focus on developmental disorders and associated medical conditions.
In 2018, Dr. Allegre joined the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine faculty, and he currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. Dr. Allegre also practices at the UT Health RGV Women and Children's Clinic in Edinburg, TX, specializing in developmental and behavioral pediatrics. Additionally, Dr. Allegre is an active member of the Student Education Committee of Pediatrics.
