PeopleSoft 9.2 Implementation
MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSOR
We
are pleased to announce that effective, Tuesday, September 4, 2018,
PeopleSoft will be live and operational with the remaining modules
for Finance
(FMS) and Human
Resources (HCM). Please note that due to the need to perform
100% data validation, UTRGV employee and dependent benefits
enrollment information will be made available shortly after
September 4. In the meantime, if you have any questions about your
benefits enrollments, please contact our Benefits Office at benefits@utrgv.edu.
To
prepare for September 4, please visit the sections below about
readiness and support process. This important information is designed
to help our users through this transition and to obtain support.
We also
encourage you to review the latest guides and videos published on
our HCM
Training & Resources page. In addition, HCM and FMS
classroom training continues and users may register for available
sessions on the UTRGV
Training Services Portal.
Furthermore,
on August 23, 2018, the PeopleSoft ERP Governance Committee, with
the support of President Bailey, reached a decision to further
postpone the UTRGV PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS) project. Please
recall that this effort was to replace
the current Banner / Assist Student Information System for
Strategic Enrollment. The continuation of this project will
be considered in the next two to three years, once the resources
and conditions that are needed to undertake such a large effort are
met. This decision only affects the Campus Solutions project. As
stated earlier in this newsletter, the PeopleSoft HCM and FMS
projects are still going live September 2018.
If
you have any questions about the PeopleSoft program, please reach
out to us through our Contact Us form on our website (located here) or by sending an email to peoplesoft@utrgv.edu.
Thank
you for taking the time to read our newsletter!

SUPPORT PROCESS
Once
we are live in PeopleSoft, how will users obtain support with
question or issues? Here is a summary of the steps users should
follow. More information can also be found on the PeopleSoft Support site:
1.
Review Training MaterialsIf you have questions, the extensive library of training materials contains a wealth of information that may have the answer to what
you are looking for. The materials may be found in our PeopleSoft Training and
Resources Site.
2.
Contact your Super User
- If training materials did not provide the solution you were
looking for, remember that Super Users have received advanced
PeopleSoft training. Here is the Super User Directory
so you may contact one in your department
or office.
3.
Contact your Timekeeper/Leave
Administrator
- For questions related to submission and
correction of timecard and absence requests, a designated Time
Keeper/Leave Administrator has been assigned. The
Timekeeper/Leave Administrator Directory will be available soon in
the PeopleSoft Support &
Escalation site.
4.
Request Access
– If you believe you don’t have the correct PeopleSoft
access, please follow the Access Request Process. If unsure,
consult with your Super User.
5.
Contact the IT Service Desk –
If you are experiencing technical issues, such as not able to log
into PeopleSoft, please follow the IT Incident Process,
or contact the IT Service Desk at 956-882-2020 or 956-665-2020.
If
the above steps do not address your question or issue, please work
with your Super User to escalate it to the appropriate expert at
UTRGV. If required, a Service Incident or Request will be created
and assigned to the appropriate PeopleSoft Business Analyst. You
may also find these steps in our PeopleSoft
Support & Escalation site.
