The PeopleSoft Implementation Program is composed of two interdependent projects, PeopleSoft FMS/HCM and PeopleSoft CS. As noted in the September 11, 2017 edition of the PeopleSoft Newsletter, two of the go-live dates were pending approval by the Governance Committee (see * below). Those dates have now been approved as official.
PeopleSoft 9.2 Implementation Projects and Go-Live Dates
- PeopleSoft FMS/HCM - (September 1, 2018)
- PeopleSoft CS
- Admissions and Campus Community - (July 1, 2018*)
- Transfer Credit - (August 15, 2018*)
- Financial Aid - (October 1, 2018)
- Academic Advising, Student Records - (January 15, 2019)
- Student Financials - (June 28, 2019)
These past few weeks our teams have been working diligently to bring the Analyze and Design phase for both the FMS/HCM and CS projects to completion. While some activities still remain, mainly related to enhancements that will streamline processes and deliver better services to our end users, we will be completing them soon and moving on to system configuration and development. Please see the Program Timeline below for more information.
The Transition Management Team has also been busy working to provide the UTRGV community a means to communicate with the PeopleSoft Implementation Program Team. We are happy to announce that the email address PeopleSoft@utrgv.edu is now available. Feel free to email us any questions or concerns you may have about the PeopleSoft Program. We want to hear from you!
Again, thank you for reading!

ANALYZE AND DESIGN
Completing the Analyze and Design Phase has been the biggest challenge for the PeopleSoft teams so far. However, each team has risen to the challenge and we are now closer to completing this critical phase. With a good design, we expect fewer issues will arise during the Build and Test phase.

TRAINING AND TRANSITION
Every major implementation requires training end users on the new system’s functionality to ensure a seamless and successful transition to the new system. We are currently creating a training plan for end users on PeopleSoft 9.2 FMS, HCM, and CS systems. Training is scheduled for Summer 2018.
Beginning November 2017, the Office of Human Resources (HR) will provide training sessions on Organizational Change Transforming and Leading in preparation for the transition to PeopleSoft. These sessions will explore the dynamics of organizational change, highlight proactive techniques to prepare for change, identify key resources to facilitate the change process, and reveal strategies for optimal effectiveness. Registration will be available through the UTRGV Training Services portal at www.utrgv.edu/training.
The PeopleSoft website is currently being created. The website will include the latest information available on the PeopleSoft 9.2 Implementation.
