Add UTRGV Account in Microsoft Outlook 2010/2013/2016

To add a UTRGV Account to Outlook 2010/2013/2016:

  1. Launch Outlook.
  2. Click the File tab at the top left of the screen.
  3. Click Add Account below Account Information.
    • NOTE: A new window will open titled Auto Account Setup. By default, E-mail Account should be selected.
  4. Leave Your Name field blank.
  5. Enter your UTRGV email address.
  6. Enter your Password.
  7. Enter your password again in Retype Password.
  8. Click Next.
    • NOTE: Email account will be Configuring. If successful, you will see a "Congratulations!" message in the Add New Account window.
  9. Click

    • NOTE: A new window will open up with the following message, "You must restart Outlook for these changes to take effect."
  2. Click OK.
  3. Close Outlook.
  4. Launch Outlook again to begin using your new email account.
    • NOTE: You may be prompted to enter your UTRGV password. You can check the Remember my credentials box under the password field to not be prompted for your password each time you open Outlook.
