Engaging Peers in College (E.P.I.C.) Mentoring Program

Engaging Peers in College (E.P.I.C.) Mentoring Program

The Engaging Peers in College Mentoring Program is your first step to having an EPIC university experience. E.P.I.C. is a year round mentoring program that begins in the fall and is open to all students attending the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley for their first year (including Transfer students). E.P.I.C. focuses on three core pillars of university success: academics, personal growth, and involvement.

Once in the E.P.I.C. program, the student protégé will be assigned to a mentor who is a successful returning student. Protégés are to meet with their mentor at least once a month. In the meeting, the mentor will go over a curriculum to guide the student to a successful year. There will also be EPIC socials and events that one can have fun and meet others in the program.
