PARTICIPANTS 
Students from Independent Research I BMED 3121-3BR from the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley, Health and Biomedical Department. Students will be supervised by their advisors. Students from Instructor Luz Maria Silva, Clinical Assistant Professor, The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley will also collaborate in this project. 

OBJECTIVES 
People be aware of their blood pressures/risks/education. (Measure Blood Pressure, Heart rate, weight BMI, Glucose Test). Informal talk about risk and prevention of hypertension, obesity and problems related with cardiovascular disease. Talk about prevention.

TARGET AUDIENCE 
People that visit Farmers Market during Saturday from 8-12 AM. First Saturday of each month. Starting September 2019.

GOALS
Increasing visibility of health and wellness resources within your community, increasing personal health awareness, providing a variety of health “ Charlas” and create motivation of participants to make positive health behavior change.
