UTRGV President Bailey dons an apron for Best Week Ever events
BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS – AUG. 29, 2017 – To celebrate the first week of school, The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley President Guy Bailey and members of his administrative team put on aprons and served up more than 600 hamburgers and snacks to UTRGV students, staff and faculty, during the third annual Picnic with the President.
The picnic, which is part of the Best Week Ever festivities at UTRGV, kicked off on the Brownsville Campus on Tuesday at the PlainsCapital Bank El Gran Salón. Students had the chance to meet Bailey and enjoy a free meal, music, games and entertainment.
The second Picnic with the President will be held Thursday, Aug. 31, on the Edinburg Campus at 11:30 a.m. in the Ballroom.
