Alegría brings Mexico’s beautiful art of folk dance to life with lively music and special
lighting setting the stage for a spirited cast of 36 dancers in colorful traditional dance costumes.
Ballet Folklórico UTRGV is under the direction of Program Director Francisco Muñoz,
Artistic Director Miguel Angel Peña Caballero, and Production Manager Zeidy Enedy Garza-Peña.
Members of the 2017 Ballet Folklórico are Marisol Abascal, Stephanie Acosta, Alejadra Blanco, Iris Cantu,
Anthony Carrillo, Karla Carbajal, Tirzah Claus, Ingrid Davila, Fancy De León, Sergio De León, Victor García,
Uriel Góngora, Marisol Guerrero, Ángel Hernández, Jose Izaguirre, Renay Lopez, Sergio Lopez, Aracely Longoria,
Jennifer Lozano, Amanda Meda, Destiny Mendoza, Hanss Mujica, Perla Olivo, Erick Perales, Marco Antonio Quiroz,
Daniela Rios, Guillermo Rivas Jr, Benito Salas, Brandon Salinas, Luz Salinas, Estephania Sandoval, Jose Silguero,
Abril Silva Galván, Mónica Vargas, Josue Velazquez and Jasleen Vélez.
