In today's market, more than 80 percent of jobs require digital skills and programs like Excel are becoming a vital tool for many careers. Learning how to use Excel can increase your productivity at your current job and make you a more marketable candidate. In this 4-hour intermediate-level course, you'll be on the way to becoming a tech-savvy Excel user. 
Topics covered in this course may include:

  1. Calculating with advanced formulas
  2. Organizing worksheet and table data using various techniques
  3. Creating and modifying charts
  4. Analyzing data
  5. Inserting graphic objects
  6. Customizing and enhancing workbooks

CPEs: Teachers are eligible to earn 6 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPEs) approved by Texas Education Agency.

Note: The participants will be provided with laptops with MS Office 2016 during class to be able to learn through hands-on exercises and activities.

  • Mr. Eduardo Millet

    Eduardo Millet possesses an undergraduate degree in Economics with an emphasis in Economic Development from the University of Minnesota and earned his Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Minnesota.

    He relocated to McAllen from Mexico where he spent five years as the Director of Institutional Development for the State Government of Yucatan, and as Director of Business Intelligence for a nationwide telecommunications company. His professional experience includes over ten years of converting data into strategic information while working with data manipulation software such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, ArcView, MySQL, SPSS, and Stata.

    He is currently a research assistant at the Department of Management in the Robert C. Vackar College of Business & Entrepreneurship at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where he is also pursuing his PhD in Business Administration.
