Advancing Educational Leadership

With the implementation of the Texas Teacher Evaluation Support System (T-TESS), administrators must be able to support teachers in the implementation of impactful strategies. The Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) training has been implemented to meet those needs.

This three-day face-to-face engaging and research-based training is required for teacher appraisers and will teach them to recognize the relationship between the seven strands of school leadership and five conceptual themes. This course is offered by UTRGV Continuing Education in partnership with the Department of Organization and School Leadership.

Note: You must attend all three sessions in order to receive credit for the training. If you miss a portion of the session for any reason, you may be asked to attend a make-up session after the training or attend another full-day session.
