Teaching Certification
Once students complete all program requirements, they are eligible to become certified bilingual EC-6 teachers in the State of Texas. Program completers must apply for certification as soon as possible after graduation. The Office of Educator Preparation and Accountability handles the certification process.
Program completers who do not apply for certification within three years of graduation may be required to meet additional conditions prior to being approved for certification.
