CREDIT

The course Environmental Medicine/Border Health is an approved elective for medical students at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley at Harlingen, Texas. For first-year UTRGV medical students, there is no credit toward completion of requirements for graduation, and no grade is recorded. However, upon completion of the elective to the course director's satisfaction, the Office of Student Services will be notified so that a notation may appear on the student's transcript that this elective was completed.

Visiting students need to confirm whether their school will offer credit. Our staff will be happy to supply information as to topics and schedule.

EXPENSES

There are no tuition fees. Housing for visiting students is $700 for the month and is due at least 6 weeks prior to the start of the program. All students are responsible for travel to and from Harlingen, meals, personal daily expenses and after-hours transportation and personal activities.
