The UTRGV School of Music Percussion Studio is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Percussion Festival to be held on Friday, May 12th, 20179am-5pm in the Edinburg Performing Arts Complex. This event will be free and open to the public. The festival will provide schools with an opportunity to work with outstanding clinicians, Chris Whyte, Paul Owen, and Brett Pascal of the Portland Percussion Group, during a 45-minute interactive session for solo and/or ensemble performances. This will be a great opportunity for your school to be evaluated prior to the upcoming UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest. We hope you can join us for what promises to be an incredible day of percussion activities. A special masterclass will be presented by the Portland Percussion Group.

UTRGV percussion studio will provide the following equipment: timpani, chimes, glockenspiel, vibraphone, xylophone, marimba, concert toms, snare drum, suspended cymbals, crash cymbals, temple blocks, cymbal and snare drum hardware, congas, and bongo.

The schedule for the UTRGV Percussion Festival will be announced shortly after the registration deadline.
