Purchase an Office or Conference Telephone

Step 1: Request a Price Quote from Telephone Services to Purchase a Telephone

To request a price quote from Telephone Services to purchase a telephone, submit a Service Request through ServiceNow.

  1. Log in to

  2. Click the ServiceNow icon under Applications.

  3. Click Service Request under Need new service?

  4. Select Self or On Behalf of under Options.

    • NOTE: Select On Behalf of, if you're opening a request on behalf of someone else.
  5. Select Name of the person requesting the service.

    • NOTE: Your name is the default. If you're submitting a request on behalf of someone else, click the magnifying glass search icon to search for their name. Verify the user you selected is correct by hovering the mouse pointer over the User Information icon.
  6. Enter the Contact Number of the person requesting the service where they can be contacted directly for a follow-up.
  7. Enter the City, Building, and Room location where the requested service is needed.

    • NOTE: This information is necessary to ensure a technician is dispatched to the correct location.
  8. For Configuration Item, enter Telephone Services.
  9. For Short Description, enter Request a Price Quote for Telephone Purchase.
  10. For Service Request Description, enter Need a price quote for telephone (office, conference, or model name and number of the telephone you want to purchase).
    • Cisco Systems telephone models

      • 7841 - VoIP Office Phone
      • 8845 - IP Video Office Phone 
      • 8831 - IP Conference Phone
      • 8851 - IP Phone with Key Expansion Module
  11. Click Order Now.
    • NOTE: Telephone Services will send you a quote or contact you if additional information is needed. You will need the quote to purchase the telephone through iShop.

Step 2: Purchase a Telephone Through iShop

  1. Log in to
  2. Click the iShop icon under Applications.
  3. Click non-catalog item on the Go to navigation menu, under the Shop drop-down menu and Go search box.
  4. Fill in the form with the information from the quote you obtained from Telephone Services.  
    • Enter Supplier: Enter vendor information that is listed on quote.
    • Product Description: Enter description information and DIR-CONTACT number listed on the quote.
    • Quantity: Enter the number of phones to be ordered. 
    • Price Estimate: Enter the price given on quote. 
    • Packaging: Enter the unit of measure (e.g., EA-Each, DZ-Dozen, PK-Package, etc.)  
    • Manufacturer Name: Enter the manufacturer's name.
    • Manufacturer Part Number: Enter the part number 
  5. Click Save and Close if this is the only item you want to order or click Save and Add Another to purchase additional items.
  6. Click the Cart icon located at the top right of the page to view My Cart.
  7. Click Proceed to Checkout.
  8. Click Submit to Workflow or Assign Cart
