Invite Non-UTRGV Affiliates to a Skype Business Meeting

Non-UTRGV Skype meeting participants do not need to install Skype for Business on their computer to join a meeting. When first joining a Skype meeting, the participant will be prompted to install a Skype plug in. This will allow the participant to share voice, video, PowerPoint presentations, desktop, whiteboard, and attachments. To ensure everything is functioning correctly it is recommended that you test the connection prior to using Skype for a meeting.

Creating a meeting notice:

  1. Open Outlook calendar.
  2. From the ribbon, select New Skype Meeting.
  3. Add attendees' email addresses.
  4. Complete and send the notice.
