Download Skype for Business to a Personal Computer

  1. Log in to myUTRGV.edu.
  2. Click on the Office 365 icon link from the Applications section.
  3. At the top of your Office 365 page, click on Settings, then Office 365.
  4. Click on Software.
  5. On the next page, click on Skype for Business from the links on the left hand side. Choose your Language and then click Install.
  6. At the bottom of the screen, choose Save As to download the setupskypeforbusinessentryretail.exe file to your computer.
  7. After the setupskypeforbusinessentryretail.exe file has downloaded, choose Run.
    • Note: When Office Installer starts and displays a message that it is installing, it is only installing Skype for Business. It is not installing all of Office.
  8. Once completed, choose Close.
  9. Launch Skype for Business. Choose Accept if you accept the licensing agreement.
