Approve a Bulletin in UTRGV Messenger

UTRGV Messenger bulletin submissions are approved daily. Approvers have been designated by University Marketing and Communications.

Submissions will be REJECTED or REMOVED if the content is:

  • In violation of UTRGV or UT System policies or current laws.
  • Not official University news or announcements under the responsibility of the bulletin creator.
  • Considered offensive or contains links to third-party websites with questionable content.
  • Expresses personal opinions or points of view.

PLEASE NOTE: Bulletins remain active for two weeks from the Approval Date.

A. Getting Started

  1. Log in to UTRGV Messenger (http://messenger.utrgv.edu).
  2. Enter your UTRGV account credentials.
    • Your full UTRGV username.
    • Your UTRGV password.
  3. Click Log In.

B. Approving a Bulletin

To Approve a bulletin:

  1. From the top menu, click Manage Bulletins.
  2. From the list, select a bulletin pending review.
  3. Click Review.
  4. Review the Preview of the bulletin for errors and to ensure compliance.
  5. Select an Option for the bulletin.
    1. Edit - As an Approver, you can edit the bulletin yourself -OR- you can reject it and have it go back to the Bulletin Creator for editing.
    2. Approve - Approve the bulletin as it appears.
    3. Reject - Reject the bulletin. If you reject the bulletin, you must provide a reason for the rejection in the Please Confirm window.
    4. Go Back - Takes you back to Manage Bulletins list.
