Housing Deposit Refund

Deposit Request

The deadline to submit your deposit request is June 16, 2017. Any deposits not requested by the deadline will be forfeited. Deposits are only available to residents no longer planning to live on campus. Any room damages caused to room may forfeit deposit. 

Please complete the following form to request a refund request of your deposit. Following the completion of this form, and your proper checkout from your resident hall/apartment, your deposit will be mailed in the form of a check to your address on file with the University Texas Rio Grande Valley.  If you set up direct deposit with UTRGV we will send the deposit to your bank account on file. The refund process may take up 6-8 weeks and we do not start processing refunds until May 12, 2017 when the semester ends. 

All international students must sign up for direct deposit as the university does not mail checks internationally. If an international student is staying in the United States after graduation they can provide a U.S address.
