Vision and Mission
The department of Information Systems develops highly capable information systems professionals for successful business careers in the South Texas region and beyond.
Our Information Systems faculty carries out theoretical as well as practical research on information systems relevant to organizations, including projects which engage students in actual research activities alongside their professors.
Our Quantitative Methods faculty conducts innovative research in a wide range of business topics intended to push the boundaries of business knowledge across all facets of the enterprise. The Quantitative Methods faculty also trains students from undergraduate through PhD level in critical business analytical skills using computer-based quantitative tools. Their courses support all the majors offered in the Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship.
