2nd Annual International Critical Issues Leadership Conference

Call for Proposals

The 2nd Annual International Critical Issues Leadership Conference invites conference presentation proposals that address the topic of “Leadership for Culturally Diverse Populations.” Proposals are expected to include original research and a participant engagement component.

Proposals will be accepted from a range of interdisciplinary perspectives, and presentations will be held during the pre-conference on Wednesday, September 20. Research topics of interest to conference planners include:

  • Culturally Competent Leadership. This topic area includes effective leadership qualities and /or practices for leading schools serving culturally and linguistically diverse student populations.
  • Technologies for diverse populations. This topic area includes blended learning, online teaching and learning, and other new technologies.
  • Innovations in educational systems. This topic area includes alternatives to traditional public school systems, including charter schools, magnet schools, and other schools of choice.
  • Transitions from secondary to post-secondary education. This topic area includes initiatives and programs that address pre-college and career preparation.

    Districts are encouraged to bring in Leadership Teams composed of district and school leaders, teachers, school board and community members.

  • Do I need a parking permit at the schools to the schools that I will be traveling?

    No. A parking area will be designated for Conference participants.
