What We Do

The Employer Relations team looks forward to building lasting relationships between The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and your company.  It is our goal to be your one-stop shop for all your campus needs.

We can help you with:

  • Assisting your recruiting needs from a career-ready group of undergraduate and graduate students
  • Connecting you with alumni who are interested in connecting with employers with viable opportunities
  • Posting jobs, internships or careers via our online portal, Career Connection
  • Registering for an upcoming Expo (Career Expo, Graduate and Professional School Fair, Teachers Job Expo, Government and Law Enforcement Expo, Student Employment Job Expo, Internship Week Expo)
  • Setting up your on-campus recruitment (information session, information table, class presentations, on-campus interviewing, special events.)
  • Meeting with key faculty, staff and student leaders who can provide insight to research, projects, upcoming events to collaborate on and campus trends

Career Center Recruiting Guidelines

The Career Center’s primary goal is to assist students transition into professionals and active members of the working society.  We take pride in education our students on professional practices and we want our students to experience positive practices in the workplace.

We expect that all organizations recruiting at The University of Texas Rio Grande will adhere to Career Center: Recruitment Policies for Employers 

The Career Center has sole discretion to prohibit or remove employer, groups of employers, or agent(s)/representative(s) of any employer(s) at any time for any reason.
