Advising Collaborative: Partnering for Student Success
As professional academic advisors, we value the importance of working together with our academic and campus partners to develop a holistic and progressive network of support for our undergraduate students. To help build stronger relations with our colleagues, we welcome you to our Advising Collaborative (AC), a communication and collaboration structure intended to foster meaningful relations with our institutional partners. Together, we will create a culture of completion for our students and a build a network of support designed to graduate our students in a timely fashion.
So, who are the members of our Advising Collaborative? You are. As a department chair, faculty, staff member, dean, adjunct faculty and lecturer, you are a member of our Advising Collaborative. And simply stated, we want to partner with you to serve our undergraduate students and get them to graduation day!
As a member, you have access to participate in the following Advising Collaborative Initiatives:
Collaborate with professional academic advisors to develop advising tools and resources related to major selection, academic planning and academic success based on best practices.
Partner with AAC Leadership and academic colleagues to produce up-to-date knowledge about our undergraduate students and disseminate the research to Advising Collaborative members.
Combine efforts to link our undergraduate students to a network of holistic support and institutional resources designed to resolve retention/persistence issues and remove unintentional institutional barriers.
Team up to pulse the progress of our undergraduate students in their academic endeavors and provide personalized care and follow up in the name of their continued academic success.
